Short-lived pollution events can move, disperse or dilute before an investigator arrives. RippleXn helps preserve the measurements, samples, operational records, alerts and response needed to reconstruct them.

What we investigate

An investigation succeeds or fails on what was preserved while the event was still happening. RippleXn is the black box that keeps the measurement, the sample, the operational record and the response together on one clock.

Why investigations arrive too late

Most environmental events are short. A discharge, a spill, a release or a dumping incident may last minutes. The physical evidence begins degrading immediately: it moves with the flow or the wind, it dilutes, it disperses, and in some cases it decomposes.

An investigator attending the next morning inherits an absence. The reported effect is visible; the cause is not. Statements can describe the event but rarely date it precisely, and an undated event is very difficult to attribute.

Recurring illegal discharge and dumping are harder still, because each individual episode is deniable. Only a preserved series — timed, corroborated and consistently handled — turns a suspicion into an evidence package that an authority, a laboratory and a legal adviser can work with.

An illustrative event chronology

An upstream reference remained stable while a downstream monitor recorded a short departure at 03:20. Triggered sampling, where included in the deployment, preserved the water during that window. Operational records, weather and flow were captured for the same period. Attendance and intervention were logged as they happened. The package presents the measured facts, the inference drawn from them, and the questions that remained open for laboratory and expert confirmation.

Nothing here is worth relying on unless calibration, maintenance, sampling method and sample handling were specified professionally before the event. Preservation is a discipline, not a device.
